Probiotics are essential to rebuilding gut health. By definition, they alter and add to the microbiota and microflora in a personâs stomach and intestines to the benefit of whoever has ingested them. An example of this that I use in my clinic is is âMegasporeâ which contains a healthy blend of multiple probiotics. Megaspore uses a spore form which is not affected by stomach acid like other probiotics.
Vitamin A has been shown to regulate the stability of retinoic acid, which benefits barrier function and keeps cells tight. It is important to remember, however, that vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin and can become toxic if more is taken than the recommended daily dose. Always keep within the daily ranges when taking vitamins.
Vitamin D receptors are extremely important for the gutâs barrier to renew cells and regulate the immune function. We do not take in nearly as much vitamin D as we should, on average. It is best to consider taking a vitamin D supplement. That said, if you live in an area that is high in UV rays, then your body will naturally produce vitamin D, and supplements should only be considered in countries in the Northern Hemisphere.
Magnesium can help keep cells tight together and regulate the number of bacteria in the gut and naturally boost the immune system.
Omega-3 fatty acids are important for influencing immune function and inflammation. Ingesting more omega-3 fatty acids can help produce cytokines and antigens in the immune system to help stave off illness and inflammation.
Zinc is greatly imperative in the functioning of the immune system and a zinc deficiency can break down tight cell connections and create sensitive areas in the gut. This can create more openings in the gut when the mucosal linings are exposed to possible stressors such as alcohol.
Fermented foods are greatly beneficial to a personâs overall health and well-being because of the way that they can boost the immune system because of their antioxidant concentrations. That said, it is important to carefully research which fermented foods are safe to consume without causing unnecessary strain on other of your bodily organs. Some include kimchi, sauerkraut, and miso.
ADP (adeno-diphosphates) are energy molecules that are broken down from ATP (adeno-triphosphates) during metabolic processes and can be found as a natural supplement extracted from herbs like oregano and dried thyme. These herbs release this energy molecule when pulverized in a way that allows the capsule that can slow the growth of parasitic organisms in the bacteria.
This energy molecule doesnât normally have to be taken from other sources, because they are primarily produced from the foods that we eat. It is just important that you remember to eat healthy foods to maintain this type of energy output.
Include spices into your diet : Thyme, cloves, anise, betulina, and dill are just a few spices that can serve as effective antimicrobials. You can incorporate these spices into your daily cooking for impressive and tasty benefits. 33
